Akaboedoji Empowerment Scheme
This initiative was formed in December 2022, when a group of the indigenes met and decided to explore ways to promote social inclusion, in order to create awareness, fight poverty, seek opportunity for families and foster peace within the community.
The main focus areas are to be in Health Care,
Social Welfare, Education & Scholarship Empowerment & also sustainable goals .
The Target Sector
Below are the list of the sector we wish to address
Students
Full or Partial Scholarship goes to the students who qualify after following the due process as stated by the founders of the initiative scheme.
Traders
Market traders include petty traders, retailers, traders in an open market, food stuff sellers in market, mini provision sellers, pure water sellers etc.
Artisans
Artisans refer to professions like the Painters, Shoemakers, Barrow pushers, Vulcanizers, Hair dressers, Brick layers, POP installers, Carpenters etc...
ICT Operators
These include the intending Programmers, POS attendants, Computer center operatives, Recharge card vendors, Call center agents, Phone pack retailers and so on.
Less Privileged
This include the Blind Beggars, Crippled Beggars, the Handicapped, Orphans, Widows, Widowers, School drop outs, the deaf and the dumb, mentally unstable etc.
Health Care
The health care sector is one of the sectors that needs to be addressed properly. We offer health care assistance to people in need of medical care but may not have the finance to cover the cost.

We offer sponsorship programs to help intending or aspiring individuals get to their full potential and explore opportunities.
Monetary Empowerment
Monetary Empowerment comes in handy when we see the need to help applicant financially and this comes after we have seen it fit.
Entrepreneurship
We offer our help to young Entrepreneurs and struggling Entrepreneurs to build their business to being successful.
Eligibility Status
This charity is not limited to the people of Nnewi but to all indigenes of south eastern Nigeria. Thus, we would like to state that this cohort is for the people of Nnewi only. To be eligible for the first cohort of the empowerment scheme, you must be from one of the towns in Nnewi.
An indigene of Nnewi who is from Uruagu.
An indIgene of Nnewi who is from Nnewichi.
An indigene of Nnewi who is from Umudim.
An indigene of Nnewi who is from Otolo.

What is Akaboedoji Empowerment Initiative ( AKEI ) ?
AKEI is an empowerment scheme brought to the indigenes of Nnewi community and Indigenes of South East Nigeria by a set of Philanthropists.
Can anyone register for the Empowerment ?
The AKEI empowerment initiative comes in different batches and as such, the only people eligible to register for this batch of the Empowerment scheme are the indigenes of Nnewi.
How much is the registration fee ?
Registration for the Empowerment is completely free. Please, kindly report anyone asking you to make a payment before getting registered to this email address fraud@akei.org or kindly use the live chat or whatsapp button on the website to report it to us.
Is this Empowerment brought by Government ?
Government knows nothing about this Empowerment. This Empowerment Initiative is solely the idea of Nnewi indigene in diaspora as a way to give back to the people.
Is this a get rich quick scheme ?
No ! it isn’t. Infact, this initiative is born out of love for the people of Nnewi and as such, proper care shall be taken to empower as many people as possible.
Is this Empowerment meant for the Akaboedoji alone ?
The Empowerment is not meant for only the Akaboedoji, it is meant for everybody but this batch is for the entire Nnewi indigenes.
Must everyone who registers for the Empowerment be selected to be empowered ?
This is the first cohort of the Empowerment. The AKEI has a budget to work with and this is the first of many Empowerment to come. If you are not selected to be empowered in this cohort, you might be chosen in the upcoming ones, just be sure that you are eligible.
What happens if the organisers find out that people who are not from Nnewi registered for the Empowerment ?
We are uptight with our target audience and would immediately disqualify any applicant who is not from Nnewi. Thus, we would announce make an announcement for each batch or cohort to let the public know who should register next.
I was born and bread in Nnewi but from another place, can I still register ?
Well, people born and bread in Nnewi are obviously our brothers and sisters but this cohort is for the indigenes of Nnewi alone. Such people maybe considered in the upcoming cohorts.
